Privacy Policy for the website of the Sentinel Partners initiative by the NGO “Ukrainian Women’s Battalion”

This document describes the privacy policy for the website https://sentinelpartners.org.ua/ (hereinafter referred to as the website) of the Ukrainian Women’s Battalion (hereinafter referred to as the UWB). This document explains what types of information may be collected and stored on the official website of the organization, as well as how the information may be used and shared.

What information does our organization collect?

  • When you visit our website, write to us, make a donation, fill out a volunteer form, or register for an event, our organization collects both personal and general data about you.
  • Personal data means information or a set of information about an individual who is identified or can be specifically identified. Personal data relates to an individual – name, address, phone number, e-mail. Such data is received by UZHB only from persons who provide it knowingly and voluntarily.
  • Personal data of visitors are used to ensure the exchange of information, the Laws of Ukraine “On Personal Data Protection”, “On Information”, “On Telecommunications”, “On Entrepreneurship”, “On Information Protection in Information and Telecommunication Systems”, ND TZI 2.5-010-03 “Requirements for the Protection of Web Page Information from Unauthorized Access” and others.
  • General data is anonymized information that is collected by a website when users visit it.
  • If you do not agree with any of the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not provide personal data.
  • You can withdraw your consent to the use of your personal information at any time. To do so, simply send an e-mail with the subject line “Personal Data” to info@sentinelpartners.org.ua. We will send you a confirmation by return email that your personal data is no longer used. 

Why we process personal data

We may process your personal data for the following purposes, and one or more purposes may apply simultaneously:

  • granting you the status of a volunteer/trainee of our organization. we may use your personal data to contact you if you have filled out a volunteer form and involve you in our activities, inform you of news from the volunteer community, etc;
  • communicating with you. Our organization may use your personal data to contact you, notify you of events, or send you messages regarding actions you have previously taken on the website;
  • thanking you for your charitable contribution and informing you about the purposes for which your funds were spent.

This policy supplements and is used in conjunction with the regulations, policies and instructions of the Ukrainian Women’s Battalion, and complies with the current legislation of Ukraine.

The UWB has the right to store personal data during the period of our cooperation or within the terms established by the current legislation of Ukraine, or until you delete this data.

How and what information we collect

Pursuant to the provisions of the legislation specified in 1.3. of this Policy, you consent to the collection, processing and use of personal data provided by the Ukrainian Women’s Battalion (hereinafter referred to as UWB) (EDRPOU 44842091) by:

  • Filling out and sending an application form
  • or paying charitable contributions on the website womenbattalion.com.ua
  • or filling out a volunteer form
  • or registering for an online/offline event.

Personal data comes directly from you and with your consent in such cases:

  • when you contact us or fill out a volunteer form, we store your email address or phone number so that we can contact you;
  • when you make a donation, we store your name, surname, e-mail address so that we can thank you for your support and assistance;
  • when you send us an email, we store the email address you provide so that we can respond;
  • when you register for an online/offline event by filling out a registration form, your name, phone number, e-mail address is stored so that we can contact you.

We also continuously collect general data when you visit our website. The process of collecting this data is done through the use of cookies.

  1. Cookies are snippets of information that a website transfers to a consumer’s hard drive to store website-related information. Disclosure and transfer of data

Personal information of persons authorized on the website may be obtained from us only by law enforcement agencies in case of a legitimate request from them – by court order/decision or other legal procedures in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine.

Protection of personal data

UWB takes necessary and sufficient legal, organizational and technical measures to protect the information provided by persons – users of the website – from unauthorized actions of third parties, such as unauthorized or accidental access, destruction, modification, blocking, copying, distribution and others. At the same time, despite all efforts, UZHB cannot guarantee absolute protection against any threats arising outside of UWB’s influence.

Use of data from the womenbattalion.com.ua website by users.

  1. All rights to the content of the website belong to UHB. This website as a whole and its individual elements are protected by the Law of Ukraine “On Copyright and Related Rights”, other acts of the current legislation of Ukraine and international treaties.
  2. Users of the website shall not distribute, modify, transmit or reuse any information from the website for commercial purposes without the written permission of UHB.
  3. Users of the website must comply with all copyrights, and indicate copied information on other resources only with an active hyperlink to the website. Information from the website may be copied for non-commercial purposes for posting on personal pages of persons using the website, blogs, social networks, etc.
  4. By using the website, the user is not granted any intellectual property rights to the website itself or to its content or to use any branding elements or logos of the website.
  5. By using this website, you automatically agree to this Privacy Policy and its terms. If you do not agree to this Policy, you must leave this website and not use it.

Updating the Privacy Policy.

  1. UWB may unilaterally change or update parts of this Policy at any time, without prior notice.
  2. All changes to this Privacy Policy shall become effective upon their publication on the https://sentinelpartners.org.ua/ website.
  3. When you make a donation, participate in a campaign, research or otherwise interact with us, you agree to the new terms of the Privacy Policy in the version currently in effect.
  4. In the event that any part of this Privacy Policy is invalidated or unenforceable, the other parts will remain in effect.
